DR. SOW MUN FAN, a native of Malaysia, obtained her music degrees in the United Kingdom, specializing in music education and child developmental psychology. Her students have achieved top honours in national and international competitions across Asia, the United States, and Europe. Many of her pupils have received High Scorer Awards in ABRSM and Trinity College Music exams. Her excellence in pedagogy has been acknowledged by prestigious organizations such as the Asia International Piano Academy, the Piano Society of Korea, the Accademia Musicale Mediterranea in Italy, the Tainan Music Teachers Association of Taiwan, Medici UK, and the International Association of Professional Music Teachers in the United States.
In 2021, Dr. Sow Mun received the Malaysia Top 10 Outstanding Achiever Awards from the Asia Pacific International Arts Festival and was honoured with the Malaysia Top 100 Educator Award in the 2022 Asia Pacific International-Book of Records. In addition to her active teaching roles in Malaysia and Canada, she is the visionary behind the E-Artium Piano Competition and Festival.
